Big Walk To Mark Anniversary

- Some 800 people took part in a walkathon organised by the
Royal Brunei Armed Forces Training Institute in Penanjong Garrison
early yesterday morning in conjunction with its 39th anniversary.
Prior to starting off participants
had an aerobic exercise to warm-up and followed by a briefing on
road safety for the participants on the importance of conducting
themselves during the walkathon.
Leading the participants was the
Commandant of the Training Institute, Colonel Haji Aminuddin Ihsan
POKSM Dato Paduka Seri Hj Abidin.
Also taking part were the deputy
commandant, head coaches and administrative officers of the training
institute as well as their family members.
The walkathon took the women and
children a distance of 2.5km while the men walked along a 3.5km
route.
A 'doa selamat' was read to finish
off the event.
The highlight of the event, which brought cheers to
the participants especially the children, was an air show by members
of the Brunei Paramotor Association. -- Courtesy of
