The Crown Prince Visits King Fahd
Causeway

Begawan - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah,
the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office
visited the King Fahd Causeway, also known as the Bahrain Causeway,
yesterday on the third day of his official working visit to Bahrain.
The causeway, which links the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, consists of three parts.
It
consists of a combination of three bridges from Khobar to the
man-made island on the Saudi Arabia-Bahrain border and includes a
5,194m long bridge from the man-made island to Umm al-Na'san Island
and another bridge from Umm al-Na'san to the main island of Bahrain. The 25km-long road is a four-lane
carriageway.
Upon arrival at the King Fahd Causeway, HRH was greeted
by the manager of the King Fahd Causeway Authority, Badr Abdullah
Al-Otaishan.
The evening before his visit to the
causeway, the Crown Prince attended a dinner reception hosted by His
Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Crown Prince.

Palace took place on the second day of HRH's visit to Bahrain on
Saturday night, according to a press release from the Prime
Minister's Office.
Upon arrival at the palace, His
Royal Highness was greeted by His Highness Salam, who is also the
Deputy Supreme Commander of the Bahrain Defence Force, and other
members of Bahrain's royal family.
Earlier on Saturday, His Royal
Highness also visited the Bait Al Quran, or the "House of the Quran",
which is dedicated to glorifying the Holy Quran and promote better
and wider understanding of Islam.
This institution and its museum
houses a collection of historic Quranic manuscripts from various
parts of the Islamic world, and exhibits the progression of
calligraphic traditions from the first century of the Islamic era to
the present day.
His Royal Highness also attended a
luncheon hosted by Sheikh Fawaz Mohammad bin Khalifa, the president
of the General Organisation for Youth and Sports, in Manama.
Accompanying His Royal Highness in
all his stately visits was Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Muda Abdul Qawi.
