Berakas Sixth From Centre's Nasyid, Religious Song Contest

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Berakas Sixth From Centre yesterday held an event in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul.

It was a nasyid and Islamic religious song competition between the centre's sport houses - Indera Pahlawan, Indera Wijaya, Indera Putra and Indera Mabkota.

Present at the programme were management officers and 645 Lower Six students. The event's guest of honour was Principal Mdm Lee Yen Tshi, who also presented prizes to the winners. The contest was divided into boys' and girls' sections.

The event was aimed at highlighting Islamic celebrations, present an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and getting them involved in religious activities at a young age.

The winner of the boys' section was Indera Mahkota, followed by Indera Wijaya and Indera Putra in second and third places respectively.

Indera Mahkota also won the girls' section, followed by Indera Wijaya and Indera Putera in second and third places respectively. Indera Pahlawan received the consolation prize. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
