National Conference, Workshops For Teachers

Bandar Seri Begawan - Many teachers have taken part in the National Conference and Workshops on Design and Technology and Technology Education currently held for Secondary and - Primary Schools. A related team-building workshop was conducted yesterday at the International - School Brunei by Duncan Watkin and Richard Gilliam.

Participating teachers were divided into teams and discussed the best approach for their activity that entailed making ball structures or models with the provided materials in 30 minutes.

There was also a series of practical sessions entitled `Project Work' at Rimba I primary school handled by Gillian Browning.

Its activities included makings lesson plans and developing ideas for fridge magnets: There were also peer evaluations for each activity.

The national conference and workshops are organised by the Ministry of Education and scheduled to end tomorrow. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
