DBP Receives MD Club Members

Begawan - Sixty students from the Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda
Al-Muhtadee Billah Language and Literature Club visited the Language
and Literature Bureau (DBP) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and
Sports Wednesday morning to learn the roles played by the government
agency in promoting wider usage of Malay. Accompanied by lecturer
Faridah bte Abd Hamid and three other teachers, the students were
led by Club Chairman Elbisaiful Razaimie bin Md Ali.
The students were briefed by DBP
Deputy Director Aminah bte Hj Momin on the organisation chart of the
agency and the units and sections of the department. They were also
taken on a tour of the various units and sections.
The deputy director touched on the
various job opportunities available at the agency, which included
translators, editors, artistes and writers.
"Your contributions to magazines
published by our department are welcome and you will also receive
acknowledgement for every article published.
"Some students contributed and
obtained royalty, which they used as their spending money as well as
to buy their school needs such as reference books and so on. "This
way, they are exposed to greater knowledge and can polish their
