photographers from the department in hopes of exposing their talents
and creativity, and at the same time, increasing their knowledge and
techniques in photography. Ampuan Mahmood outshined 12 other

by Interhouse Company Sdn Bhd. On hand to present the prizes to the
winners was Information Department Acting Director Hj Mahrub bin Hj
Murni. The theme of the competition changed monthly and the
photographers were required to submit their photos to be evaluated.

points were also collected to determine the overall winner of the
contest. Ampuan Mahmood told the Bulletin that with his Canon EOS
5D, he had won `Best Photography' thrice during the competition for
the themes `Portrait', `Local Cakes' and `School Holidays.'
However, his main interest lies in
capturing the beauty of nature. His advice to aspiring photographers
is to participate in any photography competition, allowing it to
bring out the best of their talent and eye for creativity through
competing with other potential talents.
“When it comes to photography, you
have to have the passion for it," he added. - The next Best
Photography Award Competition will begin this April, open not only
