Fire And Rescue Holds Al-Quran Recital Competition

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Lambak Kanan Fire and Rescue Training Centre held an al-Quran Recital Competition at its Lecture Theatre yesterday.

Present as the chief guest was the Commanding Officer of Operation 'D ', Acting Senior Superintendent of Fire and Rescue, Hj Mohamad Sulaiman.

The competition was one of the religious activities organised by the training centre annually and was held in conjunction with the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) birthday.

Joining in this year's competition were personnel from the training centre who respectively recited the 10 verses of al-Quran, namely: Surah At Tariq, Surah Ghasiah, Surah Albalad, Surah Asyamas, Surah al Lail, Surah al Buruj, Surah al Fajar, Surah al Alaq, Surah al Bainah and Surah al A' la.

The champion was ABPL 907 Ak Mohd Baharuddin Pg Zulaini while ABPL 908 Muhd Zulhardie Hj Hamdan came in second place and ABPL 895 Md Al-Nazirul Mubin Abu Bakar came in third. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
