Royalty At Charity Golf Prize Presentation

Bandar Seri Begawan - Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah consented to present prizes tothe winners of the recently concluded Charity Golf 2008 Tournament organized by the Brunei Ladies Golf Association at the Royal Berkshire Hall of JPCC yesterday.

Hazman Abu Hassan shot a total of 73 gross to take first place in the Men Division A gross category. He was followed closely behind by Seruji Hj Setia (74ocb) and Pg Zamani Pg Ahmad (74).

In the men's Division ‘A’ nett event, Hj Matdin Mat Yassin with a score of 70 was the winner followed by Wan Man Wan Hil (71ocb) and Johari Hj Ahmad (71).

In Division B Gross, Pg Anak Saifullah PISDSK Pg Anak Hj Idris (79) was first followed by Chris Tay (83ocb) and Imay Hendra (83).

For the Nett category, Alif bin Abdullah was first followed by Rusdi Amin Dato Yakub and Morni Hj Ahmad. The Division C gross winner was Hj Sabri Naweh (88) followed by Hj Rahmat Hj Jaffar (89) and Rudzi Hj Tengah (62).

The nett event winner was Hj Hamdani Hj Zakaria (66) followed by Hariel Hj Simpol and Dinny Hj Karim.

In the ladies category, Siti Salwa Asmadi (92ocb) was the gross winner followed by Hjh Norhayati Hj Masri (92), Agnes Hiu (98), Hjh Rusni Hj Lamat (100) and Joan Chin (101).

The ladies nett winner was Dk Rose Pg Hj Hitam (69) followed by Sarinah Hj Masri (75), Hjh Azizah Hj Ahmad (77ocb), Angeline Hing (77) and Alice Liew (78).

The senior category gross winner was Hj Mohd Suot Hj Moksin (75) followed by Lt Kol (B) Hj Abd Aziz Abdullah (86) while the nett winner was Ooi Hoon Ai (70) followed by Hj Abd Aziz Kassim (73).

Nearest to the Pin Hole No 16 on Day One went to Dato Hj ldris Belaman (men) and Datin Hjh Misnah (ladies) while for Day Two it went to Pg Hj Abd Wahab Pg Hj Omar (men) and Faridza Abdullah (ladies)

Nearest to the Pin Hole No 13 on Day One went to Elyas Abdullah Tseu (men), and Daisy Yeoh (ladies) while on Day Two, the honour went to Hj Hamdani Hj Zakaria (men) and Hjh Rusni Hj Lamat (ladies).

Nearest to Pin Hole No 8 on Day One went to Sanjok Moktan and Hjh Azizah Hj Ahmad and on Day Two - Hj Asmawi Ismail and Agnes Hiu.

Nearest to Pin Hole No 3 on Day One went to Glenn Canterford and Hjh Norhayati Hj Masri and on Day Two - Hj Abd Aziz Bangkol and Maggie Chua.

Nearest to the line No 1 on Day One - Azhar Hj Saji and Hjh Norhayati Hj Masri while on Day Two - Dato Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari and Wan Krisnadi

Longest Drive in Hole No 17 on Day One - Ak Aki Sufrin Pg Hj Ibrahim and Siti Salwa Hj Hasmadi and on Day Two - Wan Man Wan Hii and Agnes Hiu

A total of 189 men and 35 ladies took part in the two-day meet which was held at the Royal Brunei Golf and Country club from April 5-6. The charity golf event managed to collect a total of $16,000. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
