Keriam Primary School Takes In HSN

Begawan - In order to help higher special needs (HSN) pupils,
the Special Education Unit, Ministry of Education has introduced an
inclusive school model. In Tutong District Zone I, Keriam Primary
School has been chosen as the centre of the school inclusive model.
About 12 higher special needs
pupils (HSN) from four schools nearby have registered at the school.
They include hearing and speech impaired, down syndrome, autism and
hyperactive students.
Three SENA teacher, Hajah Normah
bte Hj Jafar, Ratnawati bte Hj Mohammad and Hjh Sadiah bte Haji
Suhaili are involved in teaching the HSN pupils at the school. They
are assisted by an assistant SENA teacher from Special Education
Unit, Ministry of Education, Ramlah bte Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahab.
The registration ceremony started
with a welcoming speech by Keriam Primary School, Tutong 1, Head of
