Royalty At BLGA Award Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pg Anak Isteri Pg Anak Sarah Pg Salleh Ab Rahaman consented to present prizes to the winners of the recently concluded Charity Golf 2008 tournament organised by Brunei Ladies Golf Association (BLGA) at the Royal Berkshire Hall of JPCC yesterday afternoon.

Her Royal Highness was greeted on arrival by Datin Seri Utama Dayang Hjh Rosnah Abdullah, BLGA chairperson.

Also present were the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Awang Mohammad Hj Daud.

The ceremony commenced with a welcoming remark by Datin Seri Utama Dayang Hjh Rosnah, extending her gratitude to the sponsors and the organising committee for making the tournament a success.

"The money collected from the tournament will be donated to the charity fund, to be named by Her Royal Highness," she said.

In celebration of Her Royal Highness' birthday, which fell yesterday, Her Royal Highness consented to cut a cake and received pesembah from BLGA.

Datin Seri Utama Dayang Hjh Rosnah then presented a mock cheque of B$16,000 to Her Royal Highness, which will be contributed to charity.

Her Royal Highness then presented the prizes to the winners of the golf tournament and appreciation plaques to sponsors.
