Knowledge-Sharing Workshop On Usability At iCentre

Bandar Seri Begawan - A knowledge-sharing workshop on usability was yesterday held at-the iCentre.

According to Siti Nasyroh bte Mat Nayan, on behalf of Skali, usability measures the quality of a user's experience when interacting with a product or system, be it a website, a software application, mobile technology or a user-operated device.

She also said usability is important for a number of reasons: effectiveness, which is the user's ability to successfully use a website to find information and accomplish tasks; efficiency, which is the user's ability to quickly accomplish tasks with ease and without frustration; satisfaction, which is how much a user enjoys using the website; and error tolerance, which is how well the product prevents errors and helps users to recover from mistakes that occur.

Other IT technicalities were also shared during the workshop, including the architectural infrastructure of information conveyed to users. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
