More Police Officers Needed To Tackle Criminal, Traffic Cases

Bandar Seri Begawan - More investigative officers are needed in the Royal Brunei Police Force amid an increasing number of criminal and traffic cases.

This was said by Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigation Department Senior Superintendent Matamit bin Haji Kanak during a certificate presentation to 40 RBPF personnel who completed a three-week basic investigation course, at the Criminal Investigation Department buil ling, lalan Ong Sum Ping.

Senior Superintendent Matamit was present as the guest of honour.

The event began with a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah from a course participant, L/Cpl 3559 Zulkarnein Hjai Kamarudin.

The course was one of the initiatives by the Criminal Investigation Department in fulfilling the aspiration of increasing the number of investigative officers.

Cpl 2369 Mohd Ali bin Ibrahim, in a speech, expressed hopes that an advance course will be held in the near future, as part of a follow-up to the basic course.

The event concluded with a presentation of certificates by the guest of honour to the participants, which comprised personnel from police stations across the country.
