School Launches Maths Carnival

Bandar Seri Begawan - In conjunction with the 16th eXplomaths 2008, PIHM Serasa Secondary School yesterday morning launched a two-day 'Maths Carnival' at the school in Serasa.

Attending the event as the guest of honour and to launch the carnival was Acting Assistant Director of Secondary Schools, Ministry of Education, Koh Hong Puah.

The ceremony began with the mass reading of surah alFatihah and a doa selamat read by Ustaz Hj Norazali bin Hj Sapar.

This was followed by an opening speech by Chairperson Lim Siew King.

The highlight of the event was the launching of the carnival by the guest of honour, who also delivered a speech and viewed the Maths Carnival exhibition.

This year, 25 secondary schools nationwide participated in the two-day event. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
