Chinese Diplomat Bids Farewell

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Deputy Chief of Mission to Brunei from China bade farewell yesterday to the Head of the Chinese community in Brunei Darussalam, Pehin Kapitan Cina Kornia Diraja Dato Paduka Lau Ah Kok, founder of leading department store chain Hua Ho.

Huang Xi Lian, who hails from the Fujian province, has been China's Deputy Chief of Mission to Brunei for nine months, Pehin Lau's Personal Assistant told the Bulletin yesterday. "He will be leaving for the United States," said Jay Choo.
