Maulud At Freda Radin Primary School

Bandar Seri Begawan - Freda Radin Primary School yesterday held a Maulud Nabi celebration at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Pulaie.

The guest of honour was Awang Hj Muhammad bin Jambul, Acting Assistant Director of Private Education, Ministry of Education. The ceremony began with a recital of al-Quran, led by Muhd Muaz bin Mahdi, a Primary Three student.

To make the ceremony more auspicious, Ustazah Hjh Rogayah bte BPK Dato Paduka Hj Abd Wahid from Islamic Dakwah Centre delivered a religious talk entitled "Ethnics of Youth in Regards to Islam and Al-Quran".

A dzikir performance by the Primary Two and Three students, storytelling presentations of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) by Primary Four, Five and Six students and a_recitation of a 'selawat' were also held.

The ceremony concluded with a prize presentation to the winners of BASE 2007 and a souvenir presentation to the guest of honour, as well as a thanksgiving doa, recited by Ustaz Hj Harlan Aria Hidayat. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
