BASKIM Holds Maulud Nabi Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan - About 70 people from Saudara-Saudara Baru Kampong Kiudang/Mungkom Welfare Body (BASKIM) yesterday celebrated Maulud Nabi at Hj Umarali bin Esong's residence in Kampong Kiudang.

The annual event began with a mass recital of surah al-Fatihah, led by Ustaz Hj Johari bin Khamis, and was followed by a speech by the Chairman of BASKIM, Hj Abd Rahim bin Abdullah Yakin.

Hj Abd Rahim said that BASKIM has many activities lined up for this year, including Israk Mikraj celebration, doa arwah, tahlil, tedarus, Nuzul al-Quran and Hari Raya Aidilfitri andAidiladha. BASKIM has also set up its own dzikir team, which will come in handy for ceremonies such as weddings. It has also applied to the Islamic Dakwah Centre to set up hadrah and tausyeh classes.

The event also saw a religious talk delivered by Ustaz Hj Ismail bin Hj Mohd Arif from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.
