Maulidur Rasul Celebrated At IQRA

Bandar Seri Begawan - The IQRA Association of Brunei Darussalam yesterday held a Mauludil Rasul celebration for the year 1429 Hijrah corresponding to the 2008 AD.

Present were the president of IQRA; Awg Hj Mashud bin Hj Awg Damit, committee members, school members, invited guests and the public.

The guest of honour was Pengiran Hj Ali bin Pengiran Maon, village head of Kampong Madang, and also the acting village head for kampong Manggis Satu and Manggis Dua.

He mentioned that harmony and development of a family, school and village is strongly connected with the leaders who observe the ones led.

Leadership is not effective if there is no understanding and cooperation and support of the members and those who are led. A leader should be industrious, hard working and must forward the needs of his charges, he said.

The event was organised by the management, teachers and students committee members of the IQRA Association. There was a competition and presentation of Dzikir Dabaie. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
