Brunei Supports Asia, Mideast
Cooperation

Begawan - His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister
of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei Darussalam, delivered a
statement Saturday affirming Brunei Darussalam's support for
cooperation between Asia and the Middle East, especially in dealing
with natural disasters and communicable diseases.
His Royal Highness attended the
opening ceremony for the Second Ministerial Meeting of Asia-Middle
East Dialogue (AMED) at the Maritim International Congress Center,
Sharm El Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt.
The dialogue, which comprised
plenary sessions and panel discussions covering political, economic
and cultural affairs, was opened by Egypt's Foreign Minister Ahmed
Aboul Gheit. In the evening, His Royal Highness joined other AMED
ministers and head of delegations at a dinner hosted by the Egyptian
foreign minister.
His Royal Highness and Her Royal
Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah left Sharm
El Sheikh yesterday morning.
