Courses such as the ones pertaining to technical development which are being organised by the AFF with FIFA and AFC will hopefully create an improved and balanced standard of football."

The minister also revealed that the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam has for a very long time been assisted with developing football.

"Just recently BAFA has been granted a 12-acre site for the construction of the BAFA Headquarters and other facilities under the FIFA Goal Programme. I hope that BAFA will initiate more focused programmes toward the aim of 'Score with BAFA. Goal with FIFA'."

Meanwhile, Pengiran Hj Matusin bin Pg Hj Matasan, the Secretary General of BAFA in his welcoming remarks said that the construction of BAFA Headquarters is currently progressing well.

"BAFA may never be able to repay the kindness and generosity except to make Brunei Darussalam proud through a game of football," he said

"The course is partially funded by FIFA and AFF whilst BAFA takes care of the local hospitalities. In addition, FIFA also provided all course materials and Adidas avail the course attire for the participants and instructors," he added.
