Bandar Seri Begawan - In efforts to enhance Brunei Darussalam’s ICT capacity building, UBD’s info-Communication Technology Centre (ICTC) is teaming up with local IT company HAD Technologies to organize an open forum where ideas could be exchanged with other ICT bodies.

The forum, dubbed "I-Tea Forum", is the first of its kind to be co-organised by ICTC, UBD and HAD Technologies and hopes to support the efforts of the e-Government towards achieving knowledge-based technological advancement, particularly in the field of ICT.

To help facilitate the event further, HAD Technologies will be bringing in two expert speakers from the Republic of Singapore, Dr Tan Hock Soon, Manager of Interactive Digital Centre Asia, and Managing Director of IM Innovations, Vincent Ong.

Moderating the forum that kicks off April 9 will be ICTC Director Dr Yong Chee Tuan, who will also co-chair the forum together with HAD Technologies Chief Executive Officer, Hj Awang Hj Mohd Daud.

The forum will be open to all ICT professionals, planners, educators, technical college and university students, however, priority will be given to specially invited guests from the government and private sectors, HAD Technologies said yesterday.

The event will begin at 2pm and will run till 4.30pm at the Senate Room in UBD's Chancellor Hall. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
