UBD To Hold ‘I-Tea Forum’

Begawan - In efforts to enhance Brunei Darussalam’s ICT
capacity building, UBD’s info-Communication Technology Centre (ICTC)
is teaming up with local IT company HAD Technologies to organize an
open forum where ideas could be exchanged with other ICT bodies.
The forum, dubbed "I-Tea Forum", is
the first of its kind to be co-organised by ICTC, UBD and HAD
Technologies and hopes to support the efforts of the e-Government
towards achieving knowledge-based technological advancement,
particularly in the field of ICT.
To help facilitate the event
further, HAD Technologies will be bringing in two expert speakers
from the Republic of Singapore, Dr Tan Hock Soon, Manager of
Interactive Digital Centre Asia, and Managing Director of IM
Innovations, Vincent Ong.
Moderating the forum that kicks off
April 9 will be ICTC Director Dr Yong Chee Tuan, who will also
co-chair the forum together with HAD Technologies Chief Executive
Officer, Hj Awang Hj Mohd Daud.
The forum will be open to all ICT
professionals, planners, educators, technical college and university
students, however, priority will be given to specially invited
guests from the government and private sectors, HAD Technologies
said yesterday.
The event will begin at 2pm and
will run till 4.30pm at the Senate Room in UBD's Chancellor Hall. -- Courtesy of Borneo
