A Talk On Prophet's Life As A Youth

Bandar Seri Begawan - Students of Sengkurong Primary School yesterday held a Maulud celebration to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

To make the ceremony more auspicious, several other religious events were held. Among which was a short lecture with the theme, Ethics of youth in regards to Islam and Al-Quran.

The talk was administered by the school's religious teacher, Ustaz Jifri Hj Abd Rahman, who touched upon the Prophet's life as a youth until he reached the age of 25.

He said during the Prophet's youth, his actions and ethics were guided by the words o f the Quran and Allah, hence in line with the theme of this year's Maulud Rasul celebrations, "Tunas Bangsa Berakhlak Al-Quran" (The nation's youth with moral principles guided by the Quran).

The students also had a Maulud procession to mark the birthday of the Prophet as well as a quiz on the life of the prophet. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
