19 Business Premises Inspected In Kuala Belait

Kuala Belait - Not displaying and possessing proper business licence; fire extinguishers not located at designated areas and cleanliness issues were among problems detected at business establishments when Belait Municipal enforcement conducted a joint inspection in Kuala Belait.

Nineteen business establishments in Kuala Belait town were inspected in the joint operation codenamed "Operasi Dalaman 16" carried out by 12 Municipal officials from several sections led by the Enforcement Unit.

In view of the wrongdoings, the department will issue warning letters to business operators.

The joint inspection was conducted to check on the validity of business licences, illegal building renovations, workers' legal status, food storage and other safety aspects. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
