KB's Elney makes waves in Hartpool

Elney
Julkeply (pic above) has travelled from his home in Kuala Belait in
Brunei to join a Higher National Diploma in Manufacturing. Elney,
who is 24, came to Hartlepool in October 2007 to join the course, as
it is not available in Brunei. He is pleased that he made the
decision to join Hartlepool College of Further Education where, he
says, his tutors are very supportive and the facilities in the
Centre for Offshore and High Value Engineering are excellent.
When he is at home, he works for
PTAS-Inspection & Testing Services who supplies integrity assurances
services to the operators of oil and gas mining, refining and
processing plants throughout Asian/Pacific region.
He misses his family (he has two
brothers and a sister at home) and his car. However, he really
enjoys his course and his ambition is to gain his Higher National
Diploma qualification and then to study for a degree in metallurgy.
