Ugama School Organises Quran
Reading Competition

Begawan - Sekolah Ugama Pengiran Anak Puteri Norain in the
Tutong District held a religious talk as well as an Al-Quran reading
competition for Primary Four, Five and Six students yesterday.
The event was held in conjunction
with this year's Maulidur Rasul or Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH)
birthday.
Organised
by the Al-Quran Body and Activities Body of the school, the event
started with a mass reading of Surah al-Fatihah led by Ustaz Hamidon
bin Hj Subohi followed by a welcoming speech by the school
headmistress, Cikgu Hjh Zuraidah bin Hj Zainal.
The religious talk was delivered by
a guest speaker from Mahad Islam, Ustaz Hj Marmin bin Hj Idris who
talked about the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the
significance of Maulud.
Later, the Al-Quran reading
competition began involving the Primary Four, Five and Six students.
After the competition, a Dakwah
lecture was delivered by Mohammad Rifat Atiyah Hj Anwari, the recent
winner of the 15th Religious School National Level Syarahan Tafsir
Al-Quran Competition.
Prizes were then presented to
winners of the Quran recital competition by the guest speaker.
The
