Talk On Safeguarding Environment

Bandar Seri Begawan - BAG Networks personnel yesterday heard a talk on bow they can further safeguard the environment and contribute positively towards the issue of climate change.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education (SHBIE) Senior Lecturer, Dr Irene Cheong, paid a visit yesterday to the Ministry of Finance after receiving an invitation, according to BAG Networks Office Administrator Naimah H Sulaiman.

Lately, said the administrator, the attention that global warming has received has also prompted the world to find solutions to the long list of environmental issues.

The speaker from SHBIE briefed participants on various ways of protecting the environment, citing methods like opting for public transport instead of driving to work. She said change could happen, albeit slowly, "if we work together". -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
