By Syed Rory Malai Hassan

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to receive a letter of appointment from the Nigerian High Commissioner to Malaysia as Nigeria's new envoy to Brunei.

Peter Jonathan Ethasor Anegbeh yesterday presented to His Majesty his letter of appointment as the new foreign envoy and was later granted an audience by His Majesty at the Istana Nurul Iman.

His Majesty also consented to receive letters of appointment from two other foreign envoys to Brunei on the same day.

Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia Abdelaziz Aboughosh who previously held a high position in the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is the new envoy to Brunei for Palestine while Mohammad Yunos Farman who is the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan will be the Afghanistan's new envoy to Brunei.

Brunei and Afghanistan in 2007 established diplomatic relations signing the agreement at the office of the High Commission of Brunei to Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.
