Basic Accounting For Local Traders
By Zasika Musdi
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Sumbangsih Mulia, Entrepreneurship Development and
BINA, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, will be organising
a basic accounting course in mid-April for local traders.
It is hoped knowledge obtained from
the course would encourage traders at Sumbangsih Mulia in the Beribi
Industrial area to manage their finances more effectively, a press
release said.
To boost the sales of local
traders, Sumbangsih Mulia is actively running the "Weekend Sale" for
traders who wish to set up every Friday and Sundays. Those who are
interested should contact Sumbangsih Mulia at 2425501. Meanwhile, 12
students and teachers from Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna
Secondary School, Berakas visited the Sumbangsih Mulia complex in
Beribi yesterday.
The study visit was part of the
extracurricular activities of the school's "Teens Documentary Club".
Ten students and two supervising teachers go visiting locations
related to the cottage industry around the Brunei-Muara District.
Cikgu Mazlina bte Hj Majid and
Cikgu Norhayati bte Zaini, geography teachers, said the outings are
held on alternate weeks.
"This Wednesday, we'll visit a
certain location, and next Wednesday, the students will accumulate
their data and present on what they have seen. The Wednesday after
that, we will visit a different location," said Cikgu Mazlina.
