Concern Over Shortage Of New Textbooks

Bandar Seri Begawan - Some students in the country are still waiting to get a copy of the new religious textbooks.

The new books were introduced to all religious schools at the beginning of 2008 first school term.

However, some of them have no choice but to sit beside their classmates who were fortunate enough to get a copy of the textbooks.

A parent, who wished to remain anonymous, told his children to borrow the books from their classmates so that he could photocopy them.

He said that it has been difficult for some students to revise their work or complete their homework because of the shortage of textbooks.

Concerned parents hoped that relevant authorities would look into this matter immediately. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
