The Brunei National Softball Tournament 2007 is set to kick start again from May 6 to July 22 at the Jerudong Polo Club Filed following the signing ceremony between the event management (Sunlit Advertising) and the organiser (Banzai softball team) and sponsors at the Hua Ho Manggis Mall last night.

The guest-of-honour who officiated the launching of the challenge trophy was Awang Hj Ahmad bin Hj Abdul Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport. Also present was Abdullah bin Hj Jair, the organising chairman.

On behalf of Sunlit Advertising, Jackson Ting inked the dotted line with Brunei Shell Marketing (Diamond Sponsor) signed by Pg Hj Yasmin Pg Hj Mohammad, the Managing Director of BSM, NBT (Gold Sponsor) by Eric Yong, Digital Impressions (Silver Sponsor) by Dato Paduka Hj Idris bin Hj Abbas, DST (Bronze Sponsor) by Hj Matnaruddin bin Ibrahim, RTB (Host Broadcaster) by Hj Osman bin Hj Mohammad and Brunei Press (Supporting Media) by Reggie See, General Manager of Brunei Press.

For the men category, Group A consists of Black Arrows, Gunners, Jag Stars, Wanderers, Crankies Legend and Warriors while in Group B are Knights, Gregor, PLK Zombies, Banzai, Sluggers, Stellars and R&R.

In the ladies category, Divas, Pasadena, Knight Angels, Tornado and QD Vixen are in Group A while in Group B are Wildcats, Comets, Red Arrows and Sapphire.

The meet organised in conjunction with His Majesty's 61st birthday celebrations, aimed to promote softball particularly among youth, unearth new talented players for national softball team, interact and build a spirit of sportsmanship.
