2 Men Charged Over Truck Theft

Bandar Seri Begawan - Two local men, aged 43 and 42 years old, were brought to the Bandar Magistrate's Court Saturday for allegedly stealing a truck belonging to a company in Tanjong Bunut.

Mohammad bin Eya and Pg Roslee bin Pg Hj Hitam were jointly charged with committing theft of an Isuzu truck belonging to Porzia Bru Sdn Bhd between July 29 and 31 last year at the parking lot of Home Centre shophouse in Kampong Tanjong Bunut.

Prosecuting Officer Christoph erNg on Saturday applied for the days remand for both defendants pending further investigations.

Both defendants could face an imprisonment term which may extend to three years, or with a fine. or both imprisonment and fine if convicted. The duo will appear again before the Magistrate's Court on April 12 at 2pm. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
