Indonesian Air Marshall Gets
Honorary-Pilot Wing

Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei
Darussalam- has consented to award the Royal Brunei Air Force Honorary
Pilot Wing to Air Marshall Djoko Suyanto, the Chief of Indonesian
National Air Force.
Presenting the Honorary Wing
yesterday at the Royal Brunei Air Force Base in Rimba was the
Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major
General Dato Paduka Seri Hj Awg Halbi Hj Md Yussof.
Upon the arrival ofAir Marshall Djoko
Suyanto at the Royal Brunei Air Force headquarters, the Indonesian Air
Force Chief received the General Salute and inspected the Guards of
Honour.
Later in the afternoon, Air Marshall
Djoko Suyanto made courtesy calls to the Deputy Minister of Defence,
Pg Sanggamara Diraja Major General (Rtd) Pg Hj Ibnu Ba'asith Pg Datu
Penghulu Pg Hj Apong.
Present at the courtesy call were the
Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forcesand the Commander of Royal
Brunei Air Force, Col (U) Hj Mahmud Hj Saidin. Prior to the courtesy
call to the deputy minister, the Chief of Indonesian National Air
Force also made courtesy calls to the commanders of Royal Brunei Armed
Forces and Royal Brunei Air Force.
Air Marshall Djoko Suyanto, who is on
a two-day official visit to the country, is accompanied by his spouse,
Ibu Ratna Sinar Febrian, and senior officials of the Indonesian
National Air Force. --
