Local Man Held In Kg Tanah Jambu Booze Raid

Bandar Seri Begawan - Following an anonymous tip-off, CID personnel from Muara Police Station raided a house in Kg Tanah Jambu, Jalan Muara believed to have been used for the illicit sale of alcohol.

At the house, police personnel found more than four cases of Tiger Beer (97 tins in total), six bottles of Smirnoff Vodka, two bottles of Bacardi Rum, a litre of Gordon's London Dry Gin and two bottles of Label 5 Gin.

The contraband was found in a refrigerator in the kitchen.

Led by AOCPD Muara cum DCO Muara ASP Mohd Sabri Hj Ahmad, a team of ten CID personnel apprehended a 48-year-old local man.

The man was released on police bail.

He will be charged in court for possession and sale of contraband goods. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
