Belait Under The Scrutiny Of The
Crown Prince

His Royal Highness Crown Prince General Pg Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee
Billah visited Belait District's Mukim Bukit Sawat and Mukim Kuala
Belait yesterday.
On arrival at Merangking Primary
School, His Royal Highness was greeted by Pehin Dato Laila Utama Awang
Haji Isa, Special Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan of Brunei at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of
Home Affairs; Pehin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin
Dato Seri Setia Haji Md Yusof, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Pehin
Dato PadukaAwang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Deputy Minister of
Education; Dato Awang Haji Yusoff bin Haji Ismail, Permanent Secretary
at the Ministry of Home Affairs; Dato Paduka Sheikh Flaji Adanan bin
Sheikh Mohamad, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education; the
Belait District Officer; and, Awang Haji Masut bin Abdullah, the
Acting Penghulu of Mukim Bukit Sawat.
Also present during the visit was
Pehin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Dani bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent
Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.
The Crown Prince visited the Kampong
Merangking Multipurpose Hall where he was briefed by the Acting
Penghulu of Mukim Bukit Sawat.
His Royal Highness then proceeded to
visit Merangking Primary School and Awang Abd Rahman bin Abdullah @
Sambang, the village head of Mukim Bukit Sawat.
The Crown Prince then launched a book
entitled “Collection of Stories on Rakyat Sang Jati Series 1” penned
by Mohamad Hatta bin Haji Suhaili and Nur Anita Awanis binti Setia.
Next, His Royal Highness visited the
Orang Kaya Pemancha Berandai Primary School in Kampong Bukit Sawat and
Syarikat Kilang Papan Mewah Bersatu where His Royal Highness was
greeted by Awang Haji Mohd Hamid bin Haji Mohd Ja'afar¸ Permanent
Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.
His Royal Highness received a
donation of $500 for the Orphans Fund.
The Crown Prince then visited the
Kampong Sungai Mau Health Clinic where he was greeted by Awang Serbini
bin Haji Ali, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
Next, His Royal Highness visited the
Andulau Transmitter Station where on arrival he was greeted by Pehin
Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah, Permanent Secretary
at the Prime Minister's Office and Deputy Director of Radio and
Television Brunei.
His Royal Highness then proceeded to
the Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Pekan Belait before
attending a luncheon with senior government officers and members of
the Mukim and Village Consultative Councils.
Before the luncheon, Srikandi
Restaurant donated $1,500 to the Orphans Fund.
Next, the Crown Prince visited the
Sungai Tujuh Police Post where on arrival he was greeted by Pehin Datu
Seri Kerma Zainuddin bin Jalani¸ Acting Commissioner of Police.
His Royal Highness then visited the
Sungai Tujuh Immigration Control Post where he was greeted by Dato
Seri Setia Awang Haji Yusoff bin Haji Ismail, Permanent Secretary at
the Ministry of Home Affairs; Dato Paduka Awang Eussoff Agaki bin Haji
Ismail, Controller of the Royal Customs and Excise; and, Awang Haji
Zainal Abidin bin Dato Paduka Haji Ahmad, Acting Director of
Immigration and National Registry.
Next, the Crown Prince visited the
Koperasi Peladang Kampong Sungai Teraban's filling station where he
was greeted by Awang Haji Mohd Hamid bin Haji Mohd Ja'afar, Permanent
Secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.
He then received a donation of $3,000
for the Orphans Fund.
His Royal Highness then visited the
Sungai Teraban Primary School before wrapping up his visit with a
visit to the Kampong Sungai Teraban Mosque.
