Recently, Mr Josh Simpson, a glass artist together with Mr Gene Christy, US Ambassador to Brunei and Mr Merlin Kong, Education & Cultural Affairs Advisor from the Embassy of the United States of America visited PDS International School in Kg Mata-Mata.

The students of Form One and Two were introduced to a new form of art called glass blowing.

Mr Simpson demonstrated the process of glass blowing and showed some sample of his impressive art work in a slide presentation.

The art teachers from PDS International School and PDS School attended an art talk by Mr Simpson, which was held recently at the Empire Hotel.

The talk was also attended by several Brunei artists from different fields of art.

Currently, Mr Simpson's glassworks are being exhibited at the Empire Hotel and Country Club. The exhibit entitled "Visionary Landscapes" is open to the public from March 28 to April 11, 2004.
