Top local photographers receive international titles

Honorary Fellows view their certificates

Three Executive Committee members of the Brunei Photographic Society, namely Hj Mohd Yusof bin Hj Mohd Yassin (President), Hj Jumat bin Hj Taha (Vice-President) and Cheong Huat Seng (Secretary General) were each awarded the Honorary Fellowship Title by the Photographic Society of Los Angeles, USA which carries the title Hon.FPSLA. These titles were awarded for their contribution, works and dedicated commitment in the world of photographic arts, both here in Brunei as well as abroad.

The three have been members of the Brunei Photographic Society since the early 1980's and have been holding positions of responsibility in the Executive Committee for 10 years now.

The Brunei Photographic Society will be hosting the 19th Congress of the Federation of Asian Photographic Arts (FAPA) in July 2004 in Bandar Seri Begawan. - Courtesy Brunei Photographic Society
