Prizes for quiz, colouring winners

A prize presentation was held at the Brunei History Centre yesterday to award winners of a quiz competition and a colouring contest, which are side programmes of the 'Photography Competition and Exhibition 2003.' Organised by the Brunei History Centre, the event was held in conjunction with the 19th National Day celebrations.

The guest of honour, Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama Dr Haji Awang Mohd Jamil Al-Sufri Bin Begawan Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Umar, head of the History Centre presented the prizes to the winners.

The function commenced with a 'doa selamat' recital by Ustaz Awang Haji Mohammad Hudari Bin Haji Siyamto.

The quiz competition saw the participation of 726 participants. Meanwhile, the colouring competition was split into two categories: Category A and B.

The aims of the side programmes were to spice up the 19th National Day celebration and to encourage the public to visit the photography exhibition.
