Miss OFW 2003 & Karaoke competition on June 8

In conjunction with the 105th Philippines Independence Day celebration, the Filipino Association in Brunei will organise a karaoke challenge and a 'Miss Overseas Filipino Worker 2003' competition on June 8. Attractive prizes are up for grabs for both contests, scheduled to be held at Pusat Belia in Bandar Seri Begawan.

"The karaoke contest is open to all overseas Filipino workers (OFW). However, professional singers and winners of previous OFW singing contests are exempted," organisers said.

To be eligible for the 'Miss OFW 2003' competition, one must be single, between 21-31 years old, at least 5 feet 2 inches tall, and possess a pleasant personality.

The search for Miss OFW is supported by other Filipino organisations in Brunei.

Screening and auditions are set for Sundays, on May 4, 11, 18, and 25, between 9 am to 11 am.
