Issuing fines to one of the traffic offenders

The Royal Brunei Police Force from the Criminal Investigative Department and the traffic department have constantly set up roadblocks to curb errant drivers and road violators. Yesterday morning the Investigative department and road traffic section of the Royal Brunei Police Headquarters in Gadong carried out another roadblock along the Lambak Kanan road.

Corporal 1361 Kadir led the operation, which began at 9 am. According to him, the unit were out to nab drivers committing offences such as driving without a valid licence and expired road tax, vehicles with worn out tyres, unspecified sport rims, loud exhausts, and so on. He went on to say that the roadblock was also set up to ensure road safety in Brunei.

The operation, which ended at 10.30 in the morning, saw errant drivers and road offenders fined for various offences.
