Royal greetings to Sweden, Netherlands

His Majesty the Sultan has consented to send congratulatory messages to His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, the King of the Kingdom of Sweden and His Excellency Goran Persson, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King. His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that have long been established between Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of Sweden.

His Majesty noted with great satisfaction that the recent visit of His Majesty King Carl XVI, the King of the Kingdom of Sweden had opened a new chapter in the relations between the Kingdom of Sweden and Brunei Darussalam. His Majesty hopes that the visit will open new areas of cooperation for the mutual benefit to both countries.

In a similar message, His Majesty congratulated Prime Minister Goran Persson, and the government and people of the Kingdom of Sweden on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King.

Meanwhile, His Majesty has consented to send congratulatory messages to Her Majesty Queen Koningin Beatrix Wilhelmina Armgard, the Queen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and His Excellency Jan Peter Balkenende, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Netherlands, on the occasion of the Queen's Day.

His Majesty noted with great satisfaction that the relations established between Brunei Darussalam and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have progressed over the years both bilaterally and through the international fora. His Majesty was confident that the existing ties would be further strengthened and expanded in the years to come.

In a similar message, His Majesty congratulated Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende and the government and people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on the occasion of the Queen's Day.
