Watch Again To Grab Muslim Drinkers At Border

Bandar Seri Begawan - The police and others have again gone on the lookout at the Kuala Lurah Control Post at Limbang border to catch Muslims who drink and nab smugglers who try to slip through.

Errant motorists too better be warned.

A report on Radio Television Brunei said that in upholding the government laws and regulations and to ensure the public safety, the Royal Brunei Police and several other government agencies continued to conduct a joint operation in combating illegal activities.

The operation focused at the Kuala Lurah Control Post, it added.

During the two-and-a-half hour operation, which began at 8 pm, law enforcement officers stopped vehicles, checked on passengers and those who frequently stroll across the border.

The operation aimed to combat smuggling.

Road traffic offenders were also booked.

Meanwhile religious enforcement officers played their part in combating un-Islamic activities such as consumption of alcohol by Muslims, the report added. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
