Members of Station KTM at the Base Station trying to find an answer
Radio Station Gemilang members proved
their excellence when they beat 6 other radio stations in an
Inter-Station Radio Contest held at Tungku Beach which was organised
by Holyfolks Radio Station. The event which involved finding clues and
items from various checkpoints by communicating through two-way radios
within a time limit received a good standout of 150 members from the
Radio Amateur under the Auspices of the Brunei Darussalam Amateur
Radio Association (BDARA).
The participants in the contest
represented radio stations such as Gemilang, Holyfolks, KTM, Alif,
Binjai, Sang Jati and G4.
Every station should have a Base
Station at Tungku Beach, a Prime Vehicle and a Recovery Team.
Questions were only distributed to Base Stations.
From these questions they were to
instruct Prime Vehicle and Recovery Team to find the answers which
were hidden along Brunei-Muara District and Tutong District by using a
4-Wheel Drive.
The event was organised to foster
harmony among members of the Radio Amateur, to educate members in
creating an operation centre and communication which is effective,
team building, decision making as well as time management.
