Importance of Military Drill Stressed

Bandar Seri Begawan - It is compulsory for every one in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) to understand the importance of drill as part of requirements to enhance the quality of discipline among its members.

At the early stage of recruitment, drill was introduced to the new intakes not only as part of their training necessities, but it indeed played an important role in the spirit of teamwork.

In any drill, every member of the force is required to perform his or her duties with military precision.

Military drill is necessary not only for liner tactics but also in testing obedience and control vision.

Among the skills needed in drill is Bayonnet Fitting. A personnel or recruits are given a few seconds to do this.

Such drill was held yesterday during an annual Drill Competition organised by the Royal Brunei Navy Force for its personnel.

Each team consisted of 34 personnel including officers.
