A Temburong family lost their home in a fire recently in Kampong Temada Temburong. The house belonging to Dayang Rukiah Abdullah caught fire which was believed to be caused by power overloading.

The Bangar fire station received a call at 7.45pm and rushed to the scene. Led by Station Officer Awg Zainal Sayang, ten firemen put out the fire in 20 minutes. No lives were lost and the value of properties lost in the fire is still being estimated.

Meanwhile, the Temburong Islamic Propagation Centre yesterday gave assistance to the family of Dayang Rukiah Abdullah in the form of daily groceries and sundries to help lessen the burden of the family of nine members.

The donation was handed over by Awg Hj Emran Hj Sabtu, Temburong Chief Religious Officer and was witnessed by Awang Hj Gapor Hj Muhammad, the Head of Dakwah Centre Temburong.
