personnel using a crowbar
A parked hatchback car burst into
flames two days ago in Kg Kianggeh, sending the Fire Brigade rushing
to the scene to extinguish the fire.
The car was badly burnt from the fire
which started from under the hood of the engine. The cause of the fire
is still unknown.
The owner of the car, who works in an
office with a company situated in the capital, said that she parked
her car at the housing area at around 9 am and only went back in the
afternoon only to find that her car had been turned into 'charcoal'.
It was believed that passers-by and
residents were the ones who called the Fire Services Department when
they saw the car catching fire.
The fire was put out completely at
around 4 pm.
Meanwhile yesterday, a saloon car
caught fire in the late morning also in Kg Kianggeh not far from the
place where the earlier incident took place.
