Information Technology Plan Agreement Signed

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty's government and Accenture Private Limited yesterday signed an agreement for consultancy services in formulation of a government administration Information System and Information Technology Plan (ISIT).

The key objective is to prepare, equip and support ministries and leading agencies in the formulation and appraisal of their respective ISIT plans.

The project is worth $4.75 million.

Signing on behalf of the government was the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Awang Haji Hazair as chairman of the e-Government Programme Executive Committee and signing on behalf of Accenture was Mr Goh Lim Kiaw, a partner of the company.

To achieve the objectives, Accenture will work together with a local company, Sapura to work to put together a comprehensive plan to transfer and infuse into the respective ministries critical competencies that are required to be carried out and to raise strategic and information system and information technology plans.

The key objective is also to achieve enduring competitive advantage and to build stakeholder values that are aligned with the vision set out with the 8th National Development Plan, the National IT Strategic Framework and the Electronic Government Strategic Framework. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
