High Road Accident Rate Noted In the Country

Bangar - According to annual statistics nearly 1,700 road accidents were recorded up to August last year in the country. From that figure 915 cases involved accidents between vehicles and 676 self-accidents.

The Brunei-Muara District recorded the highest accident figures in the sultanate.

Towards instilling awareness on the importance of road safety, a talk was held yesterday in Temburong, which the Land Transport Department and the Royal Police Force organised.

In Temburong alone 14 accidents have been recorded from January until March of this year.

More than 600 students from the Sultan Hasan Secondary School attended the session. There were advised to have legal driving licences
