College
Mr Lutz Kuehnen was recently in
Brunei for a non-official visit after attending the 20th World Scout
Jamboree in Thailand. Kuehnen is the Assistant Director of the World
Scouts Events Unit, Risk and Management Engineering, the World Scout
Movement, Geneva.
During his four-day visit, arranged
by the Air Scouts Chief, Skipper Awang Abdul Jalil bin Dato Haji Awang
Marsal, several discussions were held to further strengthen ties of
the Brunei Air Scouts Movement with others in the International
Scouting Arena.
These discussions hoped to put the
country's air scouting activities on the world map and create a
positive network for the best interests of the movement.
During his stay, Mr Lutz was taken on
tour to several places of interest, including the National Scouts
Complex and other scouting properties in Gadong.
He also paid a courtesy call to Lt
Col (U) Awang Hamid bin Haji Awang Nayan, the Deputy Commanding
Officer of the Royal Brunei Air Force.
In Kuala Belait, he viewed air scouts
activities at the Jefri Bolkiah Engineering College, which is the
first technical institution to set up air rover activities.
