The Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah
Sa'adatul Bolkiah Nursing College will have four new hostel blocks for
its male and female student nurses. The hostels will begin operations
in the month of August this year. Presently, 70 per cent of the hostel
facilities are undergoing completion including book shops, information
communication technology rooms, warden rooms and the dining hall.
The new building will comfortably
accommodate up to 400 student nurses and will be convenient for its
users. This initiative of restoring the nurses building, which is
situated along the Pasar Gadong road, shows the government's concern
about the importance of infrastructure and the quality of institutions
of higher learning in the country.
Currently there are about 520 student
nurses studying at the college which comprise male and female nurses.
About 30 per cent of them are male students and the rest are female.
The present principal of the college
is Dayang Hajah Suraya Noraidah bte Abdullah.
