A 32-year-old local, second offender under the Misuse of Drugs Act was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment yesterday by Chief Magistrate Dk Rostaina Pg Hj Duraman after he pleaded guilty to two charges of drug consumption. According to the Narcotics Control Bureau Prosecuting Officer, Pg Othman Pg Hj Ali, the defendant, Razami Hj Sapar was first sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for consuming Methylamphetamine on May 27 last year.

He was also sentenced to 3 years in jail for the same offence, for a crime which he committed in contravention of section 6(b) of the MDA Chapter 27, on June 3 the same year. However, the Chief Magistrate ordered for both sentences to run concurrently with effect from yesterday, Pg Othman said.
