Chicken People on Charity Run Nets $10,000

Bandar Seri Begawan - A charity Jogathon organised by the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Sdn Bhd in conjunction with its 10th anniversary was held yesterday.

About 1,200 people including special children of the Puhsat Ehsan Al-Ameerah at Kampong Bengkurong took part in the jogathon.

The jogathon started and ended at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Safuddien in the capital.

Present at the event was the Health Minister Pehin Dato Awang Haji Abu Bakar.

The minister later received a cheque worth $10,000 from the chairman of the KFC Brunei, which will be donated to the Puhsat Ehsan Al-Ameerah fund.

The run was the first of its kind organised by KFC in the sultanate.
